Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in OCULO

What is MFA?

Multi-Factor Authentication (also known as two-step verification) is a security process that requires users to provide two different forms of identification before gaining access to their account. For OCULO this includes something you know (your password) and something you have (such as a code from an authentication app). This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

How to Enable MFA:

  1. Navigate to User menu >Account details from the top menu.

  2. Select the tab Two-Step verification.

  3. Follow the guided steps to connect your preferred authentication app.
    The page should looks like this:

     
  4. Scan the QR code using an authenticator app on your mobile.
    Please label / name the code in the app with a good description you can rememeber eg. OCULO Authentication

  5. Enter the 6 digit code to confirm the configuration

  6. You are ready!
    If the configuration was successful you will see this message:

     

Here are links on how to dowload an authenticator app to your mobile if you dont' have one already installed.

 

Once you have set up MFA, you will be asked to introduce the 6 digit code from your authenticator app after you have entered your password in a page like this:

 

 
 

 

 

How to Remove MFA:

Only Practice Managers can remove or turn off MFA for users in their Practice, including themselves

  1. Navigate to Manage My Pratice from the top menu.

  2. Select the Users tab.

  3. Click on the name of the user

  4. On the right side click on the "Remove MFA" button
