Secure messaging supports the delivery of digital messages containing clinical documents and/or other information between healthcare organisations, sent either directly or through one or more secure messaging providers such as HealthLink, Medical-Objects and others and often is connected directly into a GP clinic’s practice management system.
Why does Oculo use secure messaging for some communications?
Secure messaging is an alternative to fax that is safe, seamless, secure, and confidential and enables clinical information sharing across healthcare providers. An added benefit for some healthcare providers is reduced cost and increased reliability when compared with fax.
How do I use it?
Where possible, Oculo has enabled GPs with secure message so when you select a GP contact from the Provider Directory, it will automatically display the option to send the communication via secure message.
